Thank you for sharing this, Sara. I have said ever since you were diagnosed that you are simply too nice to be in pain/confusion/hurt, etc. I stand by that and will continue to stand by that. I am glad that you changed doctors because that can make such a big difference.
I haven't ever been able to do yoga but I have been somewhat successful with meditation and guided imagery and hope that it will help you as much.
I love you,
BMK

I am very well schooled in cat yoga. Selkie had perfect form in the Tail-In-Face position and Vlad was always great at the Feline-On-Spine position. Hob never participated but always kept me on track to inhale meow and exhale meow.

Sara, I've been trying to eat better myself too. I've been making these smoothies for myself every morning for breakfast and they are great! They have lots of fiber, antioxidants, not to mention that they taste great. to make, weigh out 4 ounces each of:

*milk (or soy milk),
*some kind of purple juice like grape, pomegranate, or acai (purple indicate the presence of polyphenols and other antioxidants)
*frozen bananas
*frozen strawberries
*frozen peaches
*frozen blueberries

put those in your blender carafe at night before bed so they can thaw a bit and stash in the fridge. Then blend in the morning. A word of warning, this makes a LARGE smoothie, so you might want to lower the weight per ingredient from 4 to 3 or so. You can of course change up the fruits you use, but try to ensure that you get a colorful variety. Different colors in fruits indicate the presence of different vitamins and minerals.

Every time I have tried to do yoga the cats keep jumping on my arms and legs or running under me. It's like extreme yoga. If you can make it an hour without breaking a bone or killing a cat you win.

Sara, thank you for sharing this. I am so glad you have found a neurologist you like. That makes all of the difference in the world. I wish you luck in your resolutions. Maybe we should get together on some of them. I need to do yoga and I have trouble doing it by myself. Dee is very disciplined and does it everyday with Abbey, but I just can't make myself do it. The same with the diet. Many of the things you wrote about MS seem the same for fibromyalgia. I hope there is a cure for both very soon!
